Telluride Trout Fishing Adventures
Far from any population center, Telluride Colorado is an incredibly special place. From the high Alpine elevations of the San Juan Mountains to the arid high desert just to the south and west, Telluride is uniquely situated in incredible Trout country. I have been guiding in Telluride for thirty years now, by both float and wade trips in the greater Telluride Region.
I first moved to Telluride in 1988, and I have learned my way around these known and unknown fisheries of the Southern Rockies for thirty years. I am a senior guide at the Telluride Angler, and we have a very close association. This is the shop where I hang my guiding hat and where I prefer to coordinate equipment or outfitting needs for any fishery in the region or on the planet. From the shop we fish on the San Miguel, Gunnison, Dolores, and Uncompahgre rivers along with many others here in the backyard. In addition to permitting that give us an extensive guiding reach, we also have exceptional access on over one hundred miles of private waters both near and far. On any given day of the year in this region, Trout, Bass, Pike, and others can be found in abundance.
I am both a float and wade guide with a wide array of boats, tackle and gear to customize our approach to this diverse fishery. Grand Junction, Durango, Ouray, and other towns in addition to our home base of Telluride are nearby many of our fisheries. Please contact me for scheduling and availability.
